How to Make it Through the 12 Days of Graduation

The 12 days of graduation are about to begin!!!
Okay, this may be the most important post of our 3 years.  After countless exams, papers, and general law school bullshit, I have put my analytical skills to good use and developed a plan of action to make it to graduation.  It is no surprise that graduates drink.  It is no surprise that law students drink.  Therefore there is no greater compelling interest than the drinking we are embarking on for the next 12 or so days.
Be Consistent.  The key is to drink consistently.  Focus on maintaining the buzz.  You want to find the "nice" level and stay there.  Don't try to max out right away, pace yourself and envision these 12 days as one long night that won't exactly be able to account for.

Gatorade.  This will be a key recovery drink for the periods (albeit brief periods) where you actually want to drink something other than liquor.  I recommend keeping some gatorade with you at all times.

Shot glasses.  Flasks.  Keep them in the car.  Or in your purse/pocket.  Wherever.  They come in quite handy on the go.

Eat.  Do remember to eat frequently and a lot.  During periods of prolonged drinking make sure you don't miss meals.  Of course this means you gotta keep drinking to maintain your "nice" level.

Drink. Drink. Drink. Don't go for too many hours without some sort of alcoholic beverage.  Feeling hungover...have a mimosa.  Have a champagne headache...drink a beer.  That is how you do it.  You keep it going, not by drinking a lot but by drinking often.

Be responsible.  Don't end up in a roadside ditch.  Take a cab.  Have a seat.  Pack a ho bag. Do what ya gotta do to get thru.  Don't try to keep up if you can't keep up.  This isn't undergrad we've had 3 years to perfect these skills.  Let's fucking go!

Halllloooweeeeen! Etcetera

Hello World,

Halloween fell on a Monday this year but that didn't stop us from partying. We went to Bar 7 and had a great time. We ran into Minnie Mouse, The Joker, Princess Jasmine, and Harry Potter to say the least. In other news, I set my alarm while I was out last night. I woke up at 8:50AM so that I could register on Bisonweb at 9:00AM. I proceeded to type in my alternate pin and like clockwork, the page took forever and ever and ever to load. I hopped on gchat and twitter and learned that I was not alone; Bisonweb was down of course. I don't know why I trick myself every single semester and think that this system will work efficiently. Anyways, these comments from my peers made me chuckle:

In the end, I got to register for my last semester of law school 2 hours later (PRAISE THE LORD)!!! Oh and I STILL have this 25 page draft due tomorrow for good ole critical race theory. I am thankful that I chose to write on The Wire..the research part is great because I love that show… but I'm really lacking the motivation to write! I hope that this Wale Ambition album will fuel my writing process.

Happy November,

UBU

End of 2L Year Ratchetness Leads to 3L Year Ratchetness

So as of approximately 1pm yesterday, when k$ finished her last exam, 2L year became a thing of the past. Technically UBU and I had been done since thursday and promptly embarked onto various ratchet drinking expeditions and hoodrat things with our friends. Truth be told I haven't had a single sober night since finals ended. But I digress, yesterday was the annual end of the year bbq in rock creek park.

Ratchet. From the very beginning liquor was flowing and I just knew things were bound to get a lil crazy. I really couldn't tell you how much any of us had to drink, just that we had cups that were almost never empty. It was a good social time with a lot of laughter, a lot of really mean comments, followed by even more laughter. God proved to us in a not so subtle way that K$ can in fact wear a romper! And perhaps the highlight of the afternoon came with an unexpected offer to manage the 3 of us as a group of some sorts. The offer sounded a lot like pimping to me, but our manager insists he would never have us doing anything he wouldn't do. So I guess stripping is still on the table...and I for one am okay with that.

Ratchetness. Somehow someway they played a hot beat and next thing I know im shaking my ass on Manny at 4:30pm under a pavilion. Yea I said ratchetness. The sad part is I wasn't really even that drunk (atleast I dont think so) I just like music and cant resist. Especially when they play dancehall...its a wrap. As the bbq wrapped up everyone began getting hype for ridiculousness that would continue at the wife beater party.

Ratchetness on a thousand trillion. Actually I can't even say I was that wild last night. I was nice with that ciroc and patron of course but I think I was just pretty high on life. It seemed like everyone was there, even a few people I would rather not have seen. But everyone was hype and hell bent on having a good time. I think we danced and dropped it low to almost all of the songs soon to be revealed on our 2L soundtrack. (Sidenote: I should really consider not dancing to Motivation, Kelly Rowland in public) Yup just consider. As the night went on it got pretty hot and sweaty but that was to be expected. We all had a good time twerkin ninjas in the club.
